OPPORTUNITIES & SUPPORT

We are excited to announce several opportunities to make the DDE Conference more accessible, inclusive, and supportive of our community!

Support for Mini-Symposium Organizers

The DDE Conference provides structured support for Mini-Symposium (MS) organizers in recognition of their essential contribution to the scientific programme.

Eligibility

Support is granted only after the Mini-Symposium proposal has been formally accepted by the Scientific Committee.

The support applies to one designated organizer per accepted Mini-Symposium.

The designated organizer may choose to:

  • Apply the discount to their own registration fee; or

  • Allocate the discount to support the registration fee of a student.

For Mini-Symposia comprising multiple sessions, the total available support may be divided between the designated organizers, subject to prior agreement with the Organizing Committee.

Mini-Symposia are normally allocated two sessions. In exceptional cases, a request for a third session may be considered. Proposals seeking three sessions are kindly asked to contact the Organizing Committee in advance.

The final number of sessions per Mini-Symposium will be determined by the programme approved by the Organizing Committee.

Registration Fee Discounts and Application

Accepted Mini-Symposia are eligible for the following registration fee discounts:

  • €50 for a one-session Mini-Symposium (4 speakers)

  • €100 for a two-session or three-session* Mini-Symposium (8 speakers)

*Three-session Mini-Symposia are considered only in exceptional cases and must be discussed in advance with the Organizing Committee.

Application of the Discount

After the acceptance notification has been issued, the Conference Secretariat will contact the designated organizer(s) to confirm how the discount should be applied.

  • The discount will be applied automatically to the agreed registration. No separate application is required.

  • Registration must be completed within the applicable registration deadlines.

  • The discount cannot be combined with other registration fee reductions unless explicitly approved by the Organizing Committee.

  • If the registration fee has already been paid in full, a refund corresponding to the approved discount will be processed.

  • If the discount is allocated to a student, proof of student status may be requested.

Further Information

For any questions regarding eligibility, allocation, or application of the support, please contact the Organizing Committee.
